Welcome to CHRIST THE KING Catholic Church, a Stewardship Parish. You may not have ever stepped foot into our church, but I offer a daily prayer for everyone who visits our website in my morning devotions. We hope our site inspires you to visit our community in the near future.Our church is open all day to provide an oasis of prayer and a Christian community for all who seek peace in an increasingly uncertain world.

Our History
The History of Christ The King is truely the History of the community
HOW WE STARTED (2007 - 2012)
Rt.Rev.Philip Sulumeti,then the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of kakamega observed saw the urgent need to establish a new Parish ,In 2007 Kabras millers sold seven acres of land for the establishment of the church.
On 2nd April 2012 Rt.Rev.Bishop Philip Sulumenti laid the ground breaking ceremony for the constraction of Christ The King Church.
CONSTRACTION (Year 2012 - 2014)
Rev Father Vincent Mukokho then mobilised the christain faithfuls in the community and organised harambees fundraising over twelve million kenyan shillings by the year 2014.
In August 2014 Rev.Fr Vincent went to further studies and was replaced by Rev.Fr. Ian Kafuna who continued fundraising and sourcing funds for the church constraction.The christian faithfuls contributed alot by manually getting involved in the development of the church.
CONSECRATION & DEDICATION (2015)
Rt.Rev. Bishop Philip Sulumeti by then Apostolic Administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Kakamega scheduled the official opening and blessing of the new church to take place on 14th February 2014,However the actual consecration and dedication of the church was done on 21st February 2015 by Rt.Rev.Bishop Philip Sulumeti assisted by Rev.Fr.Ian Kafuna.The universal church gave alot of support in the constraction of the Father's House.
APPOINTMENTS TO THE PARISH (2015)
On the 1st of October 2015 Rt.Rev. Joseph Obanyi Sagwe appointed Rev.Fr.Ian Kafuna as the first Parish Priest and Rev.Fr. Edward Mulama as the fisrt Curate of the Parish.
